Question for fluxbox users- How do you handle not having an Alt-Tab popup dialog? I just can't deal, but otherwise seems like a cool wm.

If you have wmctrl and zenity installed you can try this:

wmctrl -ia `wmctrl -l | cut -d' ' -f1,4- | zenity --list --column Window | cut -d' ' -f1`

map it to a key binding - either directly or in a script and it will show a popup dialog; downside is that it shows all open apps, not desktop specific like the WorkspaceMenu that pops up with mouse button 2 on the desktop:

There is also a program called superswitcher which I have never used.

TBH, after 'needing' the popup dialogue for so many years, I have found I do not miss it at all since switching to FluxBox

I can see this replacing my Siduction.. (although I did just finish making an OpenBox Siduction)

Wow!  It is great to have you aboard sqlpython!  I've followed and learned a lot from you lurking in the shadows here!  I've been 'testing' for VastOne since last September.  It is a very solid distro and just keeps getting better.  Sid is seriously underrated in the Linux (sic Debian) community as far as I'm concerned.

So to answer your question, YES, there are several of us here taking the VSIDO ride!  It has been thrilling and rewarding to say the least!  How VastOne is able to dedicate so much time to this, and then pull it off with such a stunning distro is IMO the stuff of legend!

It'll be nice to see you "over there"!!!

I remember that Emerald win-decor theme which inspired this (flowerTree). I prefer the original, though I suppose he couldn't replicate that in GTK3. Also not a fan of the font rendering. The 'soft tops' bug me. I know you can do better with infinality.

Other than that, it's probably one of the nicest Gnome3 scrots I've seen. The use of varying drop-shadow weight to differentiate between active and inactive apps is a classy touch.  Full props to the creator.

Btw, if you do manage to track him down, be sure to give him a shout-out for that "DJ Sprinkles - Midtown 120 Blues" avatar he's using at the pixelf*ckers site.

I didn't know about the flowerTree theme, thanks for the info and the fair criticism gutterslob!

I think too this is not perfect but I love how it comes together. I am in between Flatstudio and Sivaflat at the moment, so I guess I am a sucker for flat themes.

Still playing with Gnome 3. Had to install a trunk build of gtk3-engines-unico to get the theme to sort of work. Up next is changing the titlebar fonts to be a bit smaller.
