Hey ppl, does vlc has a cddb? If no, than I need a music player with cddb. Feeling uncomfortable to tag mp3s manually.
While these aren't music players, easytag and puddletag are both popular among users here, and mp3diags has a rather robust tagger; all of these access online databases like CDDB and MusicBrainz.
I'm pretty sure the larger music players like RhythmBox and Banshee have built-in CDDB taggers, but they come with auite a bit of baggage.
I know Gnome-Mplayer and VLC both pull album art from the webz (whether the mp3 already has an image embedded or not), but I haven't looked to see if either has a CDDB-based tag editor.

If I recall correctly almost all support cddb or freedb. It's best to try and go through them yourself as it's so easy with an apt-get away. My applications of choice for dedicated music players are XMMS and Audacious, but that may be either too old or too minimal for you.
Actually these only work for when playing or ripping from CD. The settings have to be enabled under Preferences>Plugins>Input>Audio CD Support, it's off by default. It seems you want this when playing mp3s, not sure if that exists.
easytag, puddletag, mp3diags...
Actually I'm using Clementine as my main player. It's a remake of old Amarok. Like it a lot. It's capable of downloading lyrics and tags for you.

Don't let anyone ever make you feel like you don't deserve what you want
