August 2015 Screenshot Thread

OK, I'll start -

- To help those of us with slow connections and the CrunchBang server bandwidth.  Most image hosting sites will automatically generate thumbnail codes for you.

Of course use whatever service you wish, but please, get a thumbnail and use that or it will be changed by a moderator.

Re: August 2015 Screenshot Thread

Thank you PackRat ... been busy with other stuff ... yesterday HUGE spam day and lot's of work going on with Bunsen

August is stuck  ... July soon to be unstuck.

As PackRat said:

Please use thumbnails

Avoid the large thumbnail www.imgur.com code, use the "medium" link thumbnail.  An example of the code:

[url=http://imgur.com/your_image_code][img]http://i.imgur.com/your_image_codem.jpg[/img][/url]

Notice the m in your_image_codem.jpg in the IMG code block

Users have been using www.postimage.org lately which does a nice job and is Multi-lingual as well.  Upload your image to the site and grab the Thumbnail for Forums (1) code.

Here is a generic piece of code if you need to create your own thumbnail:

[url=http://link.to.your.fullsized.image][img]http://link.to.your.thumbnail.image[/img][/url]

Please use the Report button to let moderators know of images that are too large. Thank you!

Thanks for putting the info on the Icon theme in your scrot. Those are nice.

In other words, I have a new set of icons.  ]:D

Oh I'm fully aware of that Nili, but I had to ask because I swear I saw a vrkalak screenshot with OpenBox - once.

Mind you it was probably after a fresh install and before:

sudo apt-get remove openbox ; sudo apt-get install fluxbox --vrkalak style

wink

Regardless you both always display really nice stuff.

Kids, this is what computing looked like in 1999. So when Prince asks you to party like it's 1999, this screenshot will serve to get you in the mood.

Debian Stretch + MATE + Faenza + mint-x-grey (pinched from Mint)

And so you can really get in the mood, here is the sound of the internet from back in the day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsNaR6FRuO0

I just put them in /usr/local/share/themes

No problems so far.

Re: August 2015 Screenshot Thread

Great Scrots!

(See what I did there?)

The latest Hydrogen build, default except for a few processes (volti, clipman, conky) and one desktop being disabled, and a couple of notification tweaks.

edit; And I've installed Audacious from Debian (not deb-multimedia).

You are correct, Sector11 - I did post an Openbox Screenshot - once.  Maybe, twice - many years ago.

Incidentally, I never -purge or -remove Openbox > just leave be and add -Fluxbox (either from the Package Manager or by Terminal)

Re: August 2015 Screenshot Thread

Too much of one color on a jessie Xfce4 64 bit partition. I don't need 64 bit (only 2G RAM onboard) except to build the BunsenLabs 64 bit ISOs.

Haha, yeah, I have the terminal set to run 'fortune' when it's opened, but with a particular fortunes file that I've compiled, filled with such geeky quotes and snippets and such... tongue
