Hi to all.

Been an off and on fan of CrunchBang over the years and often reader of it's forums. After recently grabbing an AAO-d250 netbook off ebay, I needed something light and efficient without the usual hassle of a Debian netinst. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at how quick and well Waldorf runs on this little machine. It's simply amazing.

Very sorry to see CrunchBang development ending but equally happy to see it's successor, BunsenLabs well on it's way and because of that, I've decided to sign up and make my first comments today. Thank you to those of you who've decided to keep the CrunchBang legacy alive in Bunsenlabs.

Peace   wink

Re: Hi to all.

Welcome, Bong Juice.  johnraff put together a nice how-to on getting Jessie running, looking like CrunchBang, using a Debian NetInstall.  I did it and didn't run into anything difficult at all.  In fact, it was fairly easy and may become my preferred installation method in the future.

Re: Hi to all.

Hi KrunchTime and thank you, exciting time to be here. I read johnraff's excellent tutorial on building a crunchy jessie and from what I can tell, it seems simple enough for even someone as terminal challenged as me to do. I've also read on the forum, continuing to use Waldorf until Hydrogen is ready, should be relatively safe too. Guess I'm a little unsure at the moment, Waldorf runs very well on this little machine and if the risk of continuing with it is minimal, I may just leave it until Hydrogen's release. Plus, it's been a little while since I used openbox and I'm having fun playing with all the configs and learning my way around again.  tongue

Re: Hi to all.

I would wait for Hydrogen.  I have a new ASUS Zenbook laptop and I needed support for newer hardware, so that's why I used the Wally spin on it.

Re: Hi to all.

I know this is a bit late but, hello and welcome to the forums Bong Juice. Being something of an old hippy I have to say your chosen name made me smile.  big_smile
