welcome to the Crunchbang Truckers thread.
got a truck? (or something that you could stretch to calling a truck?)
if yes, then akin to having a cat making you be right for the crunchbang cat club, having a truck means you're in the right place here.
share pics; share stories; share your trials and tribulations; share whatever geeky plans you might have for it, if any, or just share in the joy of trucking.
{i'll be back with my own story, and plans, and maybe pics later ~ just wanted to kick off this thread idea hot on the heals of discussions in the unofficial crunchbang irc chan}

#! Crunchbang-Truckers
It's kinda like a Mobile-LUG (Linux Users Group) for #!Crunchbang-Users
Make regular meetings at a popular Truck-Stop
The LUG meeting are in, usually, bookstore or Coffee-shop
I would join and participate. ... (I have houses in Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Lubbock)

Have a truck. 2001 Ford Ranger. It was a dollar (from a friend, our Corolla went way south at the same time they bought a new truck). They left about $1.50 in the change tray that they wouldn't take back so it ended up being -.50 cents, sort of like a rebate.

Now, when I think "trucker", I think of somebody with a commercial driving license (not necessarily "big rigs", but anything that isn't covered by a typical commuter's license). Where's this "truckers' club" setting the bar? Does an El Camino qualify? What about this?
Incidentally, I'll be getting a new bike soon, and converting my motorized one into a pusher trailer, which will have plenty of room on the frame for either a passenger saddle or some large panniers (swapped out depending on need)...

...I hope that didn't kill this thread... :8

i have yet to get a picture of my actual truck in its current state, but when it was new, and still had all its seats in the back for life as an "emm pee vee", i imagine it looked like this:
♪, ♫ na-na na-na na na, inspector gadget... ;D
ps,
I have no truck with trucks. So truck you, trucker!
i nearly fell off my seat laughing at that.

@pvsage, it's a complete unit and hauls something so I think it counts.
@Digit, well that's a party on wheels there.

as self appointed defacto convener of #! truckers, i agree.
@Digit, well that's a party on wheels there.
yup. even without the seats in the back, it's been a feature at parties.
pity it's off the road for the next few months. benefits sanctions r no fun. ... but it will return, eventually, and in greater glory than before.

Trucks. Railroad engines. Common element? Sometimes diesels. My diesel, however, is a 2006 VW New Beetle TDI. Lol.

^ I understand The Boss had a thing for Deuces; presumably that would extend to the BB truck.
