Re: My tint2 config

Quick question here : how do you manage to show the application name instead of the window name in your taskbar ? I would love to do the same with my tint2 config, because I always get lost when I have a lot of apps running.

Is it even possible to show first the application name then the page name ? For instance, would I be able to see in my taskbar "Chrome - My tint2 config" for this specific page ?

In your tint config file :

# Tasks
task_icon = 0

Re: My tint2 config

Although I think I may have misread your post. If you want to change the actual text displayed for the task I have no idea how to do this :S

Re: My tint2 config

This might not be the right place to ask, and if it isn't then please correct me (I'm new to the forums), but I was wondering if tint2 can accomplish something like this: http://i.imgur.com/Xt77CSn.png.

From what I read, tint2 doesn't support gradients. I'm also not too sure about how easy it would be to make the buttons "float" on the bar like that, as well as having a 'selected button' glow.

Edit: Dang it, I just noticed the "Tint2 Help" sticky. I apologize for posting this here.

Re: My tint2 config

I was just having a look at Antergos Linux Openbox. It used to be called Cinnarch.  I think it is a Spanish distro.  This is the default tint2 script.  I think it is stunning.  Antergos looks really nice too.  It is basically Arch without the installation hassle.  It uses the Ubuntu installer.  I have it up and running in a VM and seems to work really well.

Do you mean to remove it? If that`s what you mean, then open a terminal window, and do this:

geany ~/.config/openbox/autostart

In the autostart-file, you will find this section:

## Start Clipboard manager
(sleep 3s && clipit) &

Just add a "#" in front of the entry to comment out that line, so that the section looks like this:

## Start Clipboard manager
#(sleep 3s && clipit) &

Save the file, log out or reboot. Now it should be gone from the systray.

That is great, I would never call that WIP!
I am using it, and only nit i changed was the placement (top center).
Thank you, and have a nice day!

Re: My tint2 config

Looks like the font is called "cure". You can search for it and install it to your .fonts, then use openbox configuration settings to set it for the menus etc.

Fonts How To
