@vOSH, urxvt, ok that's what i thought. after posting i quickly searched terminal posts and came to the same conclusion. i like how uvxrt displays information, might have to try it.
also, dwm, cool. i've seen the wm posts and seen dwn in action via screenshots, but never used it. i like the idea of having NO menu on an open application until i want to see it. too much wasted real estate.
actually on a related note, i came across @arpinux (which i have known about for a while but never paid attention to). my head exploded. it is minimalistic like #! but more ... ? whimsical? i do not want to become a distrohopper but ........ [buffer overrun. terminating sequence.]
ok may have to install uvxrt and dwm and play around first!

You mean that information at the bottom of the terminal? I'm pretty sure that is tmux (terminal multiplexer being run in urxvt).
@vOSH. - nice work/design

I have no idea, cannot even remember where I got it and TinEye cannot find it either.
Something tells me it is from a game.... War_of_The_Worlds.jpg is what I call it.
Sorry.

@SR71: Don't worry, I'd already tracked it down and posted here.
Thank you... that is indeed the wallpaper ... but that is not where I got it from, I don't recognize the site.
However --»» all's well that ends well (site linked.)

^ Top search result with that wall - once I included "calamari" in the search - was for some wallpaperhd.whatever.tld image aggregator Google-bomb site, so I kept looking until found a site that I'm reasonably certain names the original artist.

After a week of hard work, I can finally say that I feel happy with my #! installation. !.

Would never had thought of "calamari" ... good thinking!

That weather V9000 looks intriguing. That may be the next thing I may try out.

Thank you.
Your light side looks really nice. Your dark passenger?

When I was using Ubuntu, I changed my Conkys almost every day. I was addicted then, so I'll probably be addicted again.
So many things to do, so little time.

Maybe I'm overlooking it, but how did you change the color of the tint2 systray icons to black?

Nothing special, far away from art, just function, my E17 Desktop:

Well done farinet. Is this e17 from the sid repos?
came for the distro, stayed for the community

Yes. The newest one (E17.4, i think) from enlightenment.org did not work for me ...
PS. I copied 1:1 from my flubox setup (which was "copied" from the default crunchbang waldorf, openbox based one). But E17 gives some additional settings (especially regarding power management and windows settings).

I think it's mostly about "systray_icon_theme = AwOkenBrontoBlackApps".
