First boot up of Waldorf this morning gave me a 1024x768 resolution when my default is 1440x900.
Also I had a few flashes of multi colored lines during boot.
grandr does not give me my default which I have never had this issue with grandr before.
Lastnight before bed I did a dist-upgrade..
Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to what was being upgraded.. nor did I reboot.
What command can I use to see newly upgraded packages?

Well after a second boot.. everything was fine.
I am guessing that something didn't load properly.
Where would I look for an error log for my last boot?

The dist-upgrade pulled new drivers. You can check the install logs on:
cat /var/log/apt/history.log | more
Press any key to continue scrolling
generally, logs are stored in /var/log/

Hmmm nothing really stood out except:
linux-image-3.2.0-2-amd64:amd64 (3.2.15-1, 3.2.16-1)
Other then the new image..
A lot of GTK libs but no individual drivers.
I used smxi for the first time today to get my nvidia driver and it went flawlessly.

Thank you for the apt/history.log info.. very useful.
Love how it keeps dates and times of all apt uses.
I was a little intimidated with smxi at first. It started talking about the liquorix kernel which I haven't used yet,
but all in all it was simple and very handy.
