Wireless scanner setup? [Solved]

Hello Everyone,
I have an HP B110 Photosmart scanner/printer. It prints faultlessly wirelessly but I cannot get it to scan either wirelessly or wired.
I've installed xsane & simple-scan but that doesn't detect it. I'd eventually like to be able to use gscan2pdf to attempt to go paperless.
Can anyone help me please?
Cordially
Simon

I've tried the hp website but cannot find anything specific to scanning.

Re: Wireless scanner setup? [Solved]

Sadly, using the commandline hasn't worked for wireless scanning.
Any other ideas gratefully received.

^ i take it you mean the commands in that thread didn't work for you either? or do you mean you don't want to do it through the commandline? because if the latter is the case, you could still check whether you can get it to work that way.

Re: Wireless scanner setup? [Solved]

I don't mind using the commandline, however none of the commands worked.

My home network is around a Cisco Linksys Router running DDWRT. I have four wireless laptops & the wireless printer/scanner connected to the router. Would it make a difference if I (can) take the printer/scanner off of the router & have it 'on its' own' with all computers printing directly to it, rather than 'through' the router?

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Re: Wireless scanner setup? [Solved]

thanks for elaborating. well, i'm no expert on this, but if i was in your position, i'd sure try. if you can get the scanner to work 'on its own', you'll know the problem is with the router. if it doesn't work on its own, you'll have to look at other options. but taking a variable out of the equation is always a good idea.
