Awesome, text scrolls but I havent the faintest of where to put that in relation to the album title etc.

Re: Conky v1.9 Thread

No scrolling going on.  Hmmmmm.

This just doesn't want to work, I have googled and googled and every config is the same as I have here.  I have removed the "fold" section from my config to no avail.

I'm stumped.

maybe reduce that 150?
scroll will only scroll when the text length is greater than the scroll setting, otherwise it will be static

here is something to try...a tweaked version of mounted.lua
run it in the same way as the original mounted.lua except you have to specify which method you want in the data gathering line

${lua get_mounted_data 5 inxi}

either inxi or df (not in quotes)

i had to manually calculate the amount of space free (subtract used from total), so i dont know if inxi would use different units for used and total

EDIT - i havnt taken into account decimal places, so the free calculation wont work exactly
EDIT2 - fixed! big_smile

Re: Conky v1.9 Thread

there is a little problem within mounted.lua. the script works but it generates this error message in the console.

Conky: llua_do_call: function conky_mount execution failed: /home/alexander/v9000/mounted.lua:84: attempt to get length of global 'fsys' (a nil value)

this is line 84

Are you the latest mounted.lua ... and if so how are you using it:

${lua get_mounted_data 5 inxi}

or

${lua get_mounted_data 5 df}

Because that works here: 2014_02_02_12_19_14_1920x1080_Sector11.jpg

Re: Conky v1.9 Thread

Sorry to interrupt the scrolling topic with a noob question. But this issue is annoying me so much. I guess I'm grabbing conkys for Ubuntu, or Nautilus, or whatever. The thing is that they look flat, borderless and without outer shadows, like this:

http://www.deviantart.com/art/Conky-Zen … -203263436

But when I use the code in #! they look like this:

Screenshot_02022014_06_56_59_PM.jpg

I cannot find they way to avoid the shadows.

Re: Conky v1.9 Thread

Usually that's from the compositor being run -

a couple solutions in this thread, some additional links in last post.

Re: Conky v1.9 Thread

Aaaah... Yes!!!!

So yes, for me the shadows come from the compositor (compton for me). To get rid of them I made the following change to compton.conf:

> shadow-exclude = [ "n:e:xfce4-notifyd", "n:a:Conky" ];

and had the standard transparent window settings in .conkyrc:

own_window yes
own_window_type normal
own_window_transparent yes
own_window_hints undecorated,below,sticky,skip_taskbar,skip_pager

Thanks a bunch!!!

Re: Conky v1.9 Thread

Hello;
@mrpeachy I've got 2 little questions:
In the chronograph.lua script I think I got a little bug with febuary month... ?--> bug_feb.jpg
Didier-T and I were wondering if it's possible to add a graphical effect in the Flip-Flap lua clock; we mean the real movement of "Flip-Flap" like the old clock ? 1391419999.jpg big_smile
