it fetches the wikipedia page which is queried, like in "wikipedia2text orion". try it, you can find it in the repos.

Are you using GTK3? If so, how did you get a global menu and what panel is it?

Nope I am using GTK2, that panel back ground I pinched from the Elegant Gnome theme.

I didn't do anything, it just happened. LOL Perhaps it's a newer version of lxpanel I'm using? I was searching for an option actually to make them a specific size or at least half the size of the panel to keep them in two rows. But I didn't find any. Some icons didn't follow the size though, like dropbox.

this really looks superb - time for me to try ScrotWM. Regarding the scrotbar: where does it get the info from? Is it to be configured like dzen2/xmobar?

The info in the scrotbar is controlled by a script (scrotbar.sh in my case) that is called in the scrotWM configuration file .scrotwm.conf:

bar_action = scrotbar.sh

The scrotbar.sh calls dzen2 which in turn invokes conky. The conky file is a oneline text configured for command line ouput. Here is my scrotbar.sh script

#!/bin/sh

exec conky -c "$HOME/conky_files/conky4scrot_unicolor" | dzen2 -e '' -x '70' -y '0' -w '1610' -h 17 -ta l -bg '#403b33' -fn terminus-iso8859-15-14 &
exit 0

For more details check the thread on Getting Started with ScrotWM?, from there I got all the info on the conky-dzen2-scrotbar combination.

Thank you.  Bodhi is great.  It has finally earned a permanent place on my hard drive.  I now dual boot with Crunchbang and Bodhi.  I had a little trouble with Firefox and apturl but got it fixed.  Still no crashes.

@Servingwater - Beautiful, it looks like tea time.  Could you share the wallpaper?

@Muzieca - Very nice.  I like that design.  Scrotwm is really good and fun to play with.  You look like you are having a good time.  smile

@Pfh - Great wallpaper and matching colors.  Very cool.

@Jinnstar - Wow!  Very clean and smooth.  I have already stolen your Conky from Conky Pitstop so you may see it sometime on one of my screenshots lol.
