Re: (Solved) Enable right-click on Macbook

You can't "right click" as there is only one button on your macbook. I think there may be a way to tap with two-fingers to simulate a right click. Open a terminal window and type the following:

synclient TapButton2=3

Then try tapping with 2 fingers and see if this gives the desired behavior. If so, then the code can be added to the autostart file for xfce and/or openbox. Hope this helps.

Re: (Solved) Enable right-click on Macbook

Hi Camusflage

I have just been through this myself, with a 2.1 macbook too, below is a section of my autostart.sh which hopefully will be of some use to you.

## Detect and configure touchpad. See 'man synclient' for more info.
if egrep -iq 'Trackpad' /proc/bus/input/devices; then
    synclient VertEdgeScroll=1 &
    synclient TapButton1=1 &
    synclient TapButton2=2 &
    synclient TapButton3=3 &

Pay particular attention to the second line,I changed 'Touchpad' to 'Trackpad' as it didnt work before this.:)

Re: (Solved) Enable right-click on Macbook

Thank you both for your quick reply!

I actually combined both of your recommodations and therefor put

## Detect and configure touchpad. See 'man synclient' for more info.
if egrep -iq 'Trackpad' /proc/bus/input/devices; then
    synclient VertEdgeScroll=1 &
    synclient TapButton1=1 &
    synclient TapButton2=3 &
    synclient TapButton3=2 &

in my autostart.sh .

Now it works fine and has the right behaviour.

I hope this helps all other Macbook users, too.
