thats good news.
was going to sugest flashing the BIOS...but nevermind
strange that the MB didn't start beeping.
usually when there is a VC problem it does.
let us know how the SW RAID project goes

does your MB suports RAID via HW? i've read the specs on the link you gave and it doesn't seem to.
if not, setting up RAID with IDE HDDs via software is a world of pain. i'm not even sure it can be done with the setup you described. you would need a diferent HDD for OS. but I've never used RAId software so I may be wrong here.
@sector11
don't know... might be considered offencive, cause ím not british
but i'll come up with something...
startpage user i see

your not realy paranoid if they ARE affter you
wanted a light debian distro for an old laptop, never used linux in my life but debian was advised...
so after some searching I came to #!
and it feels like i'm home
travelmate 4000
celeron 1.5
500mb ram
60GB HDD
#! only OS running
clean instal from CD
everyting worked from the get go, even wifi
boots fast, woks fast, looks great...
have a win7 i5 machine for gamming
just ordered a rasp for the livingroom, will run raspbian i supose
win7 i5s at work (print shop, i'm a graphic designer... not a mac user as is the norm... nothing against, exept the price tag)
a bit diferent in the UK. customized or mod when you talk about body, pain, int., sound.... and tunned when talking about performance...in slang: juiced car if you do it right; souped up if it's a fail
but these are more americam termes i guess, since there is no great tradition of mod. cars in europe... all the laws and all
but the uk has a great tradition in kit cars. buy the parts and buil your own for race days.
sorry bit of a piston head :8
so i guess thats a good slogan "KIT #! - unleach the brit in you..."
ftw.... i remember something about that... some joke the programmers did on the return from command
hello fellow linux users... feels realy good to say that hehehe
1st time user here... last time i used commands to do anything was in DOS... so go easy on me :8
please??
hello there
new to linux too... and after a couple of days as a user of #! , I'm really sad i didn't installed it sooner.
so much time wasted . well better late than never, I guess.
about OP: ricing derives from the somewhat perj. term "rice rocket". customized asian car, for performance or looks.
so i believe he likes the customization aspect of the OS...
