Hey dude can u point it out where did u learn all this x)?
Plz i rly like to know more about this.
From the sound of it you have an issue with your Nvidia install, I'd recommend following one of the guides over here:
http://crunchbang.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=19332I don't know where the root password comes into it as you don't need one to install Nvidia drivers.
Wow man i love u :3 ( no homo ) xD
This worked fine as fak sad i get some openbox erros like this and btw my tint2 doenst start when login..i have to restart it
Anyway thnx again much love
You want to reboot from the command line if I understand you correctly?
shutdown -r now
will do that.
Dude i cant get into my Xsession, why im ate cml if i type startx it say some shit like cant connect...
Did u even read what i wrote?
I was root tryin to exit X server to run Nvidia drivers anyway i end up doing this
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/linux- … sword.html
cd /
umount /mnt/sda1
Now i have nothing just cml and i dont know my root password
Im rly fucked up x_x
Plz help, i will try to reset my root password..
CUDA should work fine on any Linux platform that has the proprietary nVidia blob installed. There's packages in the debian repos that should provide most or all of the functionality you need for hashcat afaik.

I've run the command but what im suppose to do with all this lol sry im quite new to linux almost 1month
It would seem there is a Hashcat forum; would that not be a better place to find the knowledge you seek?
Maybe but i need to install cuda, but there is no support for debian i think, pls see this.
https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-downloads
Hello guys, i been struggling and searching err day to get hashcat workin on my linux ( crunch bang , debian based on ) before posting here, do you guys know how i can learn to setup this and teach me how should i do it..

You say you want them to "appear in the bar". It isn't entirely clear whether you want them to just be minimised to the tint2 bar like any normal minimised window, or to sit in systray.
To just have them minimised, edit rc.xml, create a new entry for your application in the applications section, and set the start type to "iconic". xdotool is unnecessary since this function is built in to openbox.
Starting in the tray requires application support. qbittorrent has an option to do this automatically, so just set that option. Pidgin almost certainly does too. Thunderbird doesn't, or didn't the last time I looked, so you'll need help. There are addons that will do this for you, including email notification from the tray. This is probably a better solution than things like alltray that just throw icons into the tray. Here is an example:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunde … /firetray/
Thnx man i wil try what u said and let u know what's up?
Anyway i want something like windows, u have the "start ups" programs they start and remain in the bar minimized.
In ~/.config/openbox/rc.xml :
<iconic>no</iconic>
# make the window iconified when it appears, or notI have not seen alltray. When I tried to start pidgin minimised in ubuntu, no suggestions worked including using perl and sed to change the minimised setting in ~/.purple...something just before it launches pidgin.
What worked for me was xdotool. Made a ~/bin/pidgin, open pidgin, wait 10 seconds, xdotool key alt+space n
good luck!
This will just wait 10 secs to pop on your desktop, aint it?
Hey guys, been tryin to play with openbox autostart..
My looks like this.
## Run thunderbird (mail service )
icedove &
## Run uttorrent background
qbittorrent &
## Run messenger ( facebook and skype )
pidgin &&
But i want those 3 to start at background and actually appear the bar and not pop up at the when my system logs in.
Thnx for ur time, i hope u understood what i said.

I know it sucks...Looks cool to me. I rock the whole wallpaper+non-LUA conky thing. You should customize your terminal colors and window decorations and stuff though and put that in the screenshot next time!
Yeah man i been working to do all dat, i been using linux ( crunchbang )for 2w :s
I'll do my best to customize all ^^
Here is mine x)

file manager on that scrot is nautilus (or some of the forks).
i was talking about the interface, sry if i miss lead u ..english its like my 3º language i always try my best to make myself understandable.
Looks like gtk-elegant is gtk-2.x only; the version of Thunar in Wheezy/Waldorf is gtk3. From this, and the context of your post, I'm guessing that you've installed gtk-elegant and set it as the theme in LXAppearance, but Thunar looks fugly; this is common when a theme doesn't have a gtk3 counterpart. There are several threads here with workarounds...gotta rush to get ready for work, otherwise I'd search for them for you.
By the way, welcome to the forum!
Thnx mate i'll try my best to behave by the rules...i'm pretty new at this, i dont understant much been reading some articles so i can catch up, anway i've have the default Thunar thats the only thing i know.
I saw this http://ninjanichols.com/2011/03/my-new-openbox-desktop/ and just wanted to have a file manager like that xD, and i would wanna know where i can learn more about the CrunchBang OS itselft.
My desktop looks like this.

Thnx for ur time.
