Oh No!
All good things come to an end I suppose.
Many thank you's for creating #! - almost everyone I know who uses Linux has tried it out at some point and several people I know swear by it - it's THE distro of choice, so I have to say I'm a bit perplexed as to the comment about it having no value, but perhaps I need to carry on my own journey into Linux and go the vanilla Debian route. Would very much like to see a script as mentioned on page 1 of this thread that configures a vanilla Deb install like #!
Myself I think I'll still be running this last iso for a while yet - nothing else compares in terms of stability. #! runs perfectly. Solid as a rock.
All the best in your new passions and interests and again many thank you's - #! has a unique place in the Linux world.
Tried with 3.2.0-0 but no change. Running at 62 with not much going on.
My Lenovo B570 laptop has started to run hot and the fan seems to be working overtime. I've got all the usual suspects installed (cpufrequtils e.g.) and am using the 3.12-9 liqourix kernel. The temp steadies in the mid 60's. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?
I like that it has Brit origins and humour.
I keep on looking for other distro's that might tempt me away (Bodhi got close, I'm curious about SUSE) but nothing comes close really. I run #! on a tiny netbook and can do pretty much anything I need. There are a few stumbling blocks (like screencapture video or getting a new Wacom tablet to work, but that could very well be down to my inexperience with the command line and my under-powered netbook) but basically it does everything I need it too, has all the software I need and it Works.
I love that it is really stripped down (decruftied) and Debian is a joy. Can't wait to get it on a more powerful machine.
The Heads - At Last (album)
Hi All,
just running the latest distro-release.
It's really getting there#! Great work Mr Crunchbang#!
Quite glad to be rid of xfce in a way, Fed up of tweaking WM's and what not anyhow. It seems that finally some of my longstanding issues have been sorted out on a Debian based release. Mainly my lo-power realtech wifi card in my little netbook that has always required a lot of faffing about to get it to work. Prob the chosen kernel for this #! release.
The only thing that I've changed is arandr instead of grandr, as it can save different configurations and I just like the layout more.
Ages ago I used to use Mint Fluxbox so thankfully I wasn't totally lost with Openbox, as it is a lile bit obscure. But now I really like it as I'm tired of the bloat, even in XFCE.
I appreciate being decrufted I can tell thee.
Again, many thanks! Best distro I've used so far in so many ways.
I'm running a Dell inspiron mini, btw.
