#2 Re: Feedback & Suggestions » [CANCELLED] Community IRC Meeting for Coordination Purposes » 2015-02-16 08:49:24

Alright. I will inform everyone on this thread about what is said in the hangouts.

#3 Re: Feedback & Suggestions » [CANCELLED] Community IRC Meeting for Coordination Purposes » 2015-02-16 08:06:28

So I have returned and I have seen what has been said. We aren't trying to cause problems and we aren't trying to change anything. We are trying to keep this alive as best as possible. We have decided to see if you guys would like to persay, just us in a Google hangout that will happen tomorrow at 11pm EST. We are trying to get the community involved in this. We aren't trying to keep this a closed project. We want everyone's opinion on this idea. If you want to join us in this conversation, let me know by sending me a message on here. I will send links to people at 10PM central time. Thank you and have a great day.

chillicampari, would you like to join us in this crusade? lol I had to say that but the thing we want to do is help out the community. This place has grown a lot since the last I had been on here. Ive been mainly helping people who come to the IRC channels. We are alive, but barely. We did a Google Hangout awhile back to figure out what needs to be done.

#5 Re: Feedback & Suggestions » [CANCELLED] Community IRC Meeting for Coordination Purposes » 2015-02-08 21:48:11

Odd, but we are going to do a full name change. We respect his wishes. We need people on our side and we want you guys to feel welcomed. We aren't trying to be all about us. We are here for the community and only the community.

#6 Re: Feedback & Suggestions » [CANCELLED] Community IRC Meeting for Coordination Purposes » 2015-02-08 21:40:13

We know so we are going to do a full name change and add a link to the new distro. We are needing to get corm to give us full rights to the forums and take lead on it. chillicampari, me, you, and the guy who wants to take lead on my end should discuss this more on IRC. we are both more active over there. He just wanted me to find out if other people helped on #! and what not.

#7 Re: Feedback & Suggestions » [CANCELLED] Community IRC Meeting for Coordination Purposes » 2015-02-08 21:28:20

We arent trying to make this place closed. We will take everyone's ideas and try to add them in. We will welcome everyone into this. We want this to keep going.

#8 Re: Feedback & Suggestions » [CANCELLED] Community IRC Meeting for Coordination Purposes » 2015-02-08 21:14:32

I know of this. We could do a bot for IRC to pull logs. Anything is possible.

#9 Re: Feedback & Suggestions » [CANCELLED] Community IRC Meeting for Coordination Purposes » 2015-02-08 21:04:21

We want people to join us. We arent trying to make this 2 seperate teams. damo - freenode, ##crunchbang channel.

#10 Re: Feedback & Suggestions » [CANCELLED] Community IRC Meeting for Coordination Purposes » 2015-02-08 20:53:40

So us people of the IRC channel, me and a few others have decided to try to take control of the forums and try to do some redirecting it to the new idea.

The people to look out for on IRC for this idea:
DrakkenWarr
Derpadong (Me)
Halts (Community helper)
xskoulx
Ferus (Maybe)
toeshred (Maybe)
etc

If you are in this idea and I didnt mention you, I am sorry. I feel like I could work on themes for the distro and do some other idea. We all are on at different times but I know I am on there every day, all day. We want this to be an ongoing thing and we have taken the steps to move forward on this idea. We are just waiting for some emails to be answered with yes.

Hello, I am simpledesign on the forums but If you go into the IRC channels, I am Derpadong. I am here to ask the request of the devteam of #! to please message me on here or IRC. We are needing some info and a few other things for me and a few others are wanting to keep this project alive. We figured it is the best to do so for the community is still alive and the fact that this distro is why people start using Linux is a great thing. If you wish to talk to me on IRC, the channel I am mainly in is ##crunchbang on freenode server.

Hello guys,
Posting to let you guys know that there is a issue with the folder ~/images/wallpapers/shared on waldorf. The permissions on it are set to root only for everything and on top of that you can't add anything of your own to it. It is also apparently symlinked I guess.

Didn't think it was MoCP; fairly certain you can't get that kind of theme.  Actually looks like an ncurses rendition of any-of-several GUI media players that have separate album and tracks-within-album panes.  cmus huh?  If it's a standalone (not an mpc front-end) I might give it a go.

Yeah, I think thats what koleoptero told me is what he is using cause we talk about it in IRC sometimes. But Im pretty sure Its cmus cause of the look and thats how defaultish cmus is but he is using a theme from looking at it
