Afternoon - it is here, anyway
Has any one managed to get Wikipad (http://wikidpad.sourceforge.net/#download) to run successfully on Staler?
Looks like the later versions are needing python 2.8 and python 2.6 components are installed in Statler. I'm scared of nuking my carefully crafted #! install by bulling about in the proverbial china shop...
This page http://trac.wikidpad2.webfactional.com/ … stallLinux is of interest, but I don't really understand what's going on
Maybe someone in the #! community has already looked at this and has some ideas?
EDIT 8 Dec:
My need is to have a cross-platform desktop (personal) wiki which is why I was looking at Wikipad (Wikipad on windoze is not crippled like zim on windoze).
I don't need the complicated hoops of Wikipad on Linux, so I looked further afield and found Wiki On A Stick. Obviously this java-based software works from your USB stickdrive, but Dropbox is my friend. All you need is a "modern" browser. Hah, the WOAS software is less than half a meg in size - just unzip to your location. Simple, sweet and instant personal wiki. Here's the site: http://stickwiki.sourceforge.net/
Now, my issue is solved but my original question isn't - moderators, any suggestion for the Topic subject?
Cheers,
