I think it should have it however beware that Debian Lenny has the older awesome 2.3.3 whereas Squeeze and Sid have 3.4.x.

Yes, I believe I did. but I'll focus on Debian Later, as I'm more interested in messing with awesome on Crunchbang,
TBH Crunchbang is better IMHO, the install was faster, the customization out of the box is insane as well as great customer support.

Are you sure you know how to run those apps? (mod4+r opens up a dmenu, in which you can type the app's name)

what is "button is mod4"? And I don't, which is why I'm experimenting with the #! Awesome first as it comes semi setup.
