Hello there,
I installed today #! on my home, and work pc. here are things that I noticed so far:
1. looks like the jfs is broken, tried at home (where I used 8.10 with jfs) and here at work, but the installer failes to format it (ext3 no probs)
2. I use opera for mail and web. now on my work pc, I have ubuntu 8.04, and #! 8.10. I download usually the qt4 version of opera, because I noticed that it integrates better with gnome (the right click menus, for ex.) On 8.04 it works ok, but in #! the fonts are messed up (not quite the smoothest rendering), and even the qt4 opera renders some scary (right click) menus (read ugly). I will post some screens for you to understand..
3. Gdebi is missing, had to install it from repos to be able to install deb packages.
back to testing...

Hello mat
Thank you for the feedback.
I will look into both the JFS and Opera issues. Regarding Gdebi, it is not installed as default, but you know that already
