To me, its just ugly
Yeah, that too. That was kinda implied in the KDE comparison.

if you don't use it ok.... but let other people give a try
i'm using rox since the first release of crunchbang and it look like that :

really ??? ugly ???
what's the design difference with pcmanfm ???? and i assume rox is faster
but don't worry, i'll never talk about rox anymore....

Well I decided to give ROX-Filer a second chance and I discovered it has a menu. I missed it the first I tried it.

I never said other people weren't allowed to try it. I just said I think it sucks.

Grats on the new release!
I just went back to XP to support my nieces and nephews...however I tend to flop back and forth and I really like the changes made, pcmanfm, leafpad, etc., all personal favorites.
Like Seth I really need another computer so I can have one for family and one for my Diabolical Linux Laboratory Experiments! (DLLE!):D
Also grats on #! moving up on Distrowatch, everytime I go there I give #! a nudge up.
I view KDE like I view snow. It looks fun and marvelous, it's fun to play in, but after a while I just want someone to take it all away.

I installed the latest #! last night -- very easy and doesn't take too long to customise.
I have 7 OS slots on my desktop, three of which are taken up by XP, Ubuntu (now #!) and Arch. The rest I am free to experiment with. I recommend the approach described here: Penguin Party, Windows can come, too. Once you've installed GRUB to the MBR, it makes subsequent Linux installations straightforward, with no need to worry about whether the distribution will detect all your existing OSs. (As long as the distro uses GRUB, not LILO, by default.)

I installed #! Lite 8.10.02 last night on my living room media computer. It is an old pentium 3 laptop with 256mb of ram that we use primarily for the rhapsody.com online music service. I originally toyed with the idea of a faster distro like Puppy or SliTaz, but the fact is, rhapsody.com works flawlessly on #! with no need to download any codecs. Boot time is around 2 minutes with auto-login enabled. And my s.o. already knows how to use #! (good girl) so there is no learning curve for her. So far the only noticeable difference I see from 8.10.1 is Firefox instead of Kazehakase, which is a really good decision in my opinion. Nice work!

I just installed #! Lite 8.10.02 within VirtualBox running on Xubuntu 8.10, from where I am posting here! This is the first time I've used a virtual machine; it's amazingly cool to watch CrunchBang boot up within its little box, limited to 512MB RAM (out of 4GB on my laptop) and its tiny 3GB hard disk. Everything worked smoothly -- thank you VirtualBox and CrunchBang!

I installed Cruncheee v8.10.02.i386 onto my Asus 701 EEE
, its better then cruncheee v8.10.01.i386rc1
Both editions I noticed use 22% to 27% in the GUI in the live bootup disc.
Is the high CPU useage a known bug with the gui interface or is it something
in the background chewing up resources ?
My nlited Windows 2003 only uses 0-1% in the GUI
Looking at the laptop now with the Crunch EEE installed off the SD 4 gig card
its using 27-28% and 125 meg out of 2 gig of RAM.
Is their a way to list how many threads or cpu process is going into a task to find
what is chewing up so many system resources .
Otherwise the Distro looks great for what I need
(EEE is becoming an download dedicated box and shoutcast server)
Update:
Another damm Linux install that auto looks to install via the internet first
instead of looking at the disc first instead . Not everyones made of bandwidth.

What are the consequences of doing a full system update compared to a normal upgrade? I know the differences but does it hurt doing a full update in place of a reg update?

8.10.02 is working great; however, I do have a couple of things... (which may have already been addressed).
- Even though I have never really been a fan of the 'trash' folder, deleting file(s) really deletes files!
I do see a /.trash folder, but it is always empty.
Is this by design?
- I am not sure PCMan 'Find Files' is working correctly. I created a text file called test that contains the word text and is located in /home/steven...'Find Files' could not find this file in /home/steven by searching the file name or the file content.
Should I file a bug on launchpad?
Anyway thanks again for the new version!

The .trash folder isnt the real trash location. Dont know why it exists though; I just deleted it.
