Re: gutterslob art gallery

Here's a blue one.
Don't be alarmed if you see interlacing on the wallpapers, cos I made them like that intentionally. I quite like the effect, and I hope you do as well.

Screenshot
201003262137151024x600s.png

Download = http://www.mediafire.com/?mnjyjxjmhmy

The pack contains Openbox Theme + GTK, tint2rc, .fonts.conf file,  2 x 2048x1200 wallpapers and some additional details.
Wallpapers might look similar at first, but one has slightly different contrast levels and values than the other.

I've made slight changes to the setup that are exclusive to this theme;
-the windec buttons are now pale blue to match the wallpaper and theme highlights.
-the tint2 is now bordered, since I feel it offsets better against the interlaced backgrounds.
-tint2 task and clock colours are the same colour as the pale blue windec buttons.

Please read the Details.txt file included in the .zip for more info, since if gives some details specific to it's associated theme, like icon colours for example.

Also,
This will be the last of my striped wall + matching theme combos.
If there's a specific colour combo you want, feel free to request here.

As with all the other themes packs I've posted on this thread, opinions and criticism are most welcome. smile

Re: gutterslob art gallery

Meh... 1441 is probably the lowest number of downloads in the entire Devart list.
Still, it's 1440 more than I expected tongue

New, ultra-minimal theme.
It's probably too stark for most folk, but anyway....
201004052143461024x600s.png

Download = http://www.mediafire.com/?tjnxtbgaklx

Pack includes GTK, OBT, tint2rc and 2 simple wallpapers. I've also included a "Details.txt" document, so please read that first.

I also have a black-on-black theme which I'll upload shortly.
Cheers~

Re: gutterslob art gallery

Since there was a member that wanted some details on this screenshot, I thought it would be easier to just tar the whole thing up and post the full theme pack here.

This one is similar to my previous "Neutrality" theme.

Screenshot;
201004100017081024x600s.png

Download = http://www.mediafire.com/?zhdnn0i5xkh

Just like previous offerings, the archive includes the usual suspects like a folder containing a GTK + OBT, a tint2rc file, a wallpaper and a Details.txt document.
Please read the Details.txt for more info, since if gives some additional details specific to it's associated theme, like the type of icons and compositing values used, for example.

Cheers.

Re: gutterslob art gallery

Was inspired by the colours from a screenshot posted by a fellow forum member (cheers, audacious), so I decided to make my own, ultra-minimal remix.

As requested by Andreas;
Screenshot
screenshot1024x600.png

Download = http://ompldr.org/vY3R0cw/Rusticity%20Pack.tar.gz

I'm a bit tied up with work today, so I didn't include any Details.txt file in the archive this time.... Sorry
It should be pretty straightforward anyway (just copy the folder entitled "Rusticity" into your /.themes directory and lxappearance and obconf will pick them up)

Icons are Any Color you Like (gnome-look.org) and you just set them to #AD9D72
If you want matching terminals, set your Terminator/URxvt/etc foreground colour = #AD9D72 and background colour = #1A1A1A

Note: You might notice that my tint2 and icons are the same colour, so if you have systray icons like NM-applet or Bluetooth-applet running, you won't be able to see them since they'll be "camouflaged" .... I personally just use Docker for my systray icons and set it to autohide (feel free to ask if you want details on this). If you really need systray icons in the panel, I suggest you edit the tint2rc I included and switch the background and border colours around.

man, i didn't realize you had your own thread, heh.   i'm glad you (and others) are getting use out of AD9D72.

think you could post details on the docker/symtray thing, or point me in the direction of a how-to?  that would be cool, cause i've kinda given up on the tint2 systray

Re: gutterslob art gallery

@audacious
It's not my thread. Arp owns it. I'm just a hobo that wandered in, somehow tongue
Yeah, I've always stayed at the khaki (#ADA96E) or darker goldenrod (#AF7817) spectrum of things, and #AD9D72 seems to fit perfectly in-between the two, despite being darker than khaki. Thanks again smile

@d2ogch3n
Awesome!!
I'll try it out later. Much thanks smile

@audacious & d2ogch3n
With regards to Docker;
-Download it from your repos.
-go to OBconf (Gui Config Tool in Crunchbang), click on the "Dock" tab and set your position and autohide options.
-Then enter  something like docker -wmaker -color black & in your autostart.sh
Note: I've configured the gtk so that you don't get a fugly 1pixel line sticking out when docker is hiding (if you use a #1A1A1A wallpaper, that is.... also the same for the blue theme a few posts above). If you want more variables, just "man docker" in the terminal.

Only problem with setting docker to -wmaker mode (which lets it hide in Openbox's dock area) is that it limits you to only 4 or 6 icons icons, depending on the size you set (see the man page)
It's fine for me since I don't run that many apps on this netbook (only nm applet, bluetooth and pidgin) and usually disable stuff like VLC and Mplayer tray icons, but you might also wanna take a look at stalonetray while you're at it.  It's also easily found in most distro repos and the man page is here = http://stalonetray.sourceforge.net/manpage.html

Hope this helps smile

Re: gutterslob art gallery

As requested by d2ogch3n, matty-guy and the silent ones that contacted me telepathically.

201004241935021024x600s.png

If you look closely, you'll notice the theme in the second screenshot is a bit less saturated compared to the first. I've included both the themes (OBT & GTK) as well as 2 alternative GTKs and my tint2rc configs for both hues in the .zip

As usual, there's a badly written "Details.txt" document with additional information, so please read that first.

Complaints are always welcome, but thanks isn't necessary since I hate fuzzy-cheesy drivel. tongue

Cheerio~

Edit:
Forgot to include this bit in the Details.txt,
If you want matching Terminal colours,
for AquaMoss I  - background_color=#121313 / foreground_color=#348781
for Aquamoss II - background_color=#121313 / foreground_color=#296460

Re: gutterslob art gallery

Sorry for the delay. Here are the themes.

First one is an updated Aquanumb (called Aquanumb II) and the second is called BlauMono

201006011140341600x900s.png . 201006152000391600x900s.png

DOWNLOAD LINKS
Aquanumb II = http://www.mediafire.com/?vtzwtmimdk3
BlauMono = http://www.mediafire.com/?tmrjjotmjye

Each archive contains OpenBox and GTK themes, wallpaper, tint2rc and conkyrc (if anyone wants them), a simple .Xdefaults scheme for URxvt users, a dark .css stylescript for browsers and a Read-Me.txt document. Read the Read-Me first, please.

Note: I realize that #! now has an Xfce edition, but I don't have any experience with XFWM themes, so the packs only contain OpenBox + GTK themes. XFCE users *should* be able to use the GTK theme without issues, but you'll need to make your own XFWM or find one that suits it.

IMPORTANT:
These are very dark themes and won't please everyone, I'm sure.
If you do download these, please be patient and use with an open mind. As with all dark themes, there were compromises, but I tried to make it as usable as I possibly could. There are still some minor gtk2-engine related niggles that I can't get around, though, so you'll have to judge for yourselves whether they are too much of an inconvenience to your computing habits.

This is probably my first "serious" theme, so I'd like to thank a few people that helped me along the way,

CREDIT
Corenominal and his Posse - for creating #! and making me fall in love with OpenBox.
Isak Lindbeck (creator of ACYL) - for his awesome themes and iconset and also for taking time out of his summer break to help with my GTK bugs.
d2ogch3n - for his awesome browser stylesheet and feedback on the GTK theme.
pvsage - for his feedback and help with the GTK theme.
the real dave - for his feedback and Guiness related banter.
Him - for his feedback and also cos he's the coolest arch-nemesis of the Powerpuff Girls
chillicampari - for his help with stylesheets and Midori.
arpinux - Not directly related to this theme, but he made this thread and has always been there to help me out.
Hanna - again, not directly related to this theme, but I learned a lot about GTK by studying her Black Grass theme.
tawan - He's not here as often these days, but I learned stuff from his older themes.
Zwopper - for testing out the theme for me.
p0rksh3d - not directly related to this GTK, but his past feedback has been invaluable.
Berk - No idea what he did, but I'm sure he did something.
All the blokes and birds over at the #crunchbang and #witchlinux IRC channels - for the laughs.

Last, but not least, I'd like to thank all remaining #! forum members, cos I'm sure I've stolen ideas and been inspired by each and every single one of you.... or something like that .... sorry, I fail at fuzzy warm moments tongue

Sector11 also deserves special mention. I would've never gotten round to releasing this if not for his constant reminders (harassment) tongue

Feel free to leave comments, complaints and criticisms here on this thread or through PMs, please.

Cheerio~

Edit: Updated GTK for BlauMono (the blue one) = http://www.mediafire.com/?mw2vnotfmde
This version uses the GIT version of gtk-engines-murrine, so you'll probably need to upgrade your version if you're on #! 9.04 or Statler.
Feel free to ask if you need a link for a .deb.

WOW! I am honoured: special mention!!
