Installer problem?

I haven't read all posts about statler but I do know that people been having problems with keyboard layouts. This is related.
I wonder why I can't choose sweden as my locale after selecting english as system language during installation. (openbox version).

Installed in Vbox and managed to change layout on my keyboard to swedish but when I did a restart the graphical login didn't accept any input from my keyboard.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to solve this?
