Statler XFCE Doesn't Boot

I installed Statler (XFCE version) to a VirtualBox (3.1.6) VM and when booting it after install, it locks after the screen where GRUB loads the initial ramdisk. All that happens is that a minute later it states that a "Soft Lock" has occured, and CPU0 has been in this state for 60 seconds. Any ideas?

Re: Statler XFCE Doesn't Boot

I swear this came up somewhere else, and the solution (oddly) was to lower your virtual machines ram.
What ram setting are you at now? (and try lowering it and let us know if that fixes things)

Re: Statler XFCE Doesn't Boot

Sorry to get back so late - I forgot about this post until I messed with the VM some more today. It's running at 768 MB of ram, and it was set to use one CPU. After figuring out how to enable VT-X on this laptop, I tried it again (mostly to see if multiple processor cores worked now) and it booted. (Although I did boot weirdly. I tried the recovery mode and then used telinit 3 to fully boot).
