upgrade from alpha to beta to final release?

I've been using Statler for a while now in VB and i'm so happy with it i'm ready to install now (tho I still haven't quite decided yet on whether to install the ob or xfce version, damn my indecision).

Question is, if I install onto HDD and carry out the long tweaking process to get it where I want it, will I be able to keep dist-upgrading as Statler goes through the latter testing stages, ultimately ending up with the final #! 10 release?  Or will there always be something 'Statler alpha' about my installation if I install now?

I assume the former  to be the case, but I wanted to check before I install to avoid wasting my time.

Cheers all.

Re: upgrade from alpha to beta to final release?

I have been wondering the same thing and would like to continue tweaking from alpha to release without having to start all over again.

Re: upgrade from alpha to beta to final release?

Alpha and Beta are just stages of the development, so that if we keep on upgrading the system, we will end up with the final release when it's ready.
