Hello everyone. I am a linux user of about 4 years and over all this time I have had quite a distro shuffle. For the past 2 years however, I have been almost 100% Arch Linux, a very advanced and do it yourself kind of distro. I must say, however, that crunch bang totally blew my mind. I popped in the livecd and it ran faster than I could have imagined. I can hardly believe that I am installing an ubuntu-derivative as my main OS.
Congratulations on such a fine product! This is something I really think would be worth my time to help out with (I've already noticed some minor bugs that I could help squash). So, how do I get started helping out?
Welcome, it is good to have you on-board, your experience and bug squashing skills could prove to be very handy! CrunchBang has a fairly informal bug reporting process at the moment which basically involves posting to these forums. There is no official bug tracker at the moment, but the project is moving along at a fairly rapid pace, so one may appear at anytime. Meanwhile, please feel free to post on the forums, hopefully you will find a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Any help, support, feedback and bug reports are more than welcome
Just wanted to say that I agree with you 100%. I've also been an Arch user in the past and enjoyed it for its speed and configurability. That said though #! CrunchBang is very slick and is probably the fastest distro I've looked at in quite some time.
Anway, welcome aboard. I hope you enjoy your time here
