Hello, I have been pretty impressed with some of the conky configs I've seen while browsing this thread.

I really like the look of a 'single line' conky, where the various values being monitored are displayed in a single line (or two) across the top of the desktop.

Does anyone have a single line conky config they would be willing to share, that I could customize?

You'll also have to adjust the temp(probably back to acpitemp, that just wasn't working right on the new lappy) and a few other things here and there. Oh also for the updates I have a cron job that runs apt-get update every three hours or so. I'm running lucid now so I like to know when updates come out. Heres a screeny:

Well, I just Googled Futurama as I've never heard of it ... soooooo ... OK, you have caggigered in your vocabulary.

But you are turning conky game into a brain game:

Here's my latest way to make conky far too complicated... (its a cpu usage bar, the box moves along the scale and displays the %usage)

although recordmydesktop turned everything grey

I think i reached the limit of if_match use, when the counter get past 83 only the numbers show up and not the indicator box and if i start it up in a terminal it shows this:

Try this: add the setting "max_specials" and set it higher than 512. Also try adding the setting "max_user_text" and set it higher than 16384.

But you've shown that "if_matching" hooks up with an imaginative mind the results can be quite creative.
