Thanks! It's some picture from Iceland...
and pvsage: I thought it was a funny name for my laptop, especially since I had to reinstall #! after seeing a production at my university. SUCH A GOOD PLAY! and Sam Beckett is the scariest person I've ever seen.

Wow, I hope the two weren't related.

Hello ..
maybe you can take a look here : http://www.ad-comp.be/public/projets/ad … .1.tar.bz2
It's a little python (gtk/cairo) script .. It simply show a 'launcher' on your desktop. you can configure theme, size, position and the command to execute.

^What I think would be really great would be if someone could code a little program with configurable "hot spots" for clicking on the desktop that could execute actions, no icons required. This would let things like "interactive" conkys happen (for example, click on the NEW EMAILS box and your email client pops up, or click on the clock and a clock setter opens)--it would be only pseudo interactive because really there would be a program underneath monitoring the desktop for clicks.
Does this make sense? In jpope's case, there could be a little "hot spot" centered on the power button, so when it's pushed oblogout starts, or the computer shuts down.....
Just a suggestion (an off-topic one, I might add).
Punch all your friends.

hi #!ers, just got an extra screen for my thinkpad. not the same size, not the same resolution but, it's fun to play with double screen features: no need virtual desktop for openbox or compiz-cube for compiz stand-alone anymore.

^^ Congrats on the second monitor, arpinux
@Bruce
That's quite a nifty looking Conky setup you've got going.
New wallpaper on my part... made samething a bit "psuedo-Bauhausian" to complement the Conky style/font.
Theme and icons are still the same as my last post here.
Cheers~

I'm not fussy on light backgrounds (hard on my old eyes) but I have to admit, yours with that conky is one elegant piece of work.
KUDOS!
Bruce
EDIT: I'd probably make a negative out of it.
