With all the excitement around Bunsenlabs, there's no time for sitting in the rocking chair.

Re: The Official #! Over-the-Hill-CrunchGang Thread

^ I know the feeling. In my networking class, we have these nice quality office chairs, with swiveling adjustable backs & everything, but then after that I need to rush off to math, where we've got these painful little orange plastic chairs (cue 'Angry Chair') but what am I talking about school for, it's spring break  lol

Anyways, glad to see everyone's still doing alright  smile

I can recommend a job you'd like if you're old enough. It's called retirement. Try it--you'll like it! tongue

I'm not sure about that - other retired people I see never seem to have time for themselves. Busy with clubs and church and visits and baby-sitting grandkids and going on cruises. It all looks exhausting!

Heh, heh. Not old enough yet.
Either way, for me to like that job I'd have to have a truckload of money, and that's not the case (yet).
Lucky me, I'm not religious, and don't have any kids, so I wouldn't be so busy at that. But I'm the kind of guy who used to sleep with an engine block sitting right beside my bed, so retirement for me would be an expensive proposition... big_smile

If it's over 30, it's vintage. If it's over 50, its antique. A classic is something you've been living with so long that you can't get rid of it anymore.

Meh.. I suppose I'm not doing too bad. Played Hockey from age 6 to my junior year of college, when I was sidelined due to a congenital spine problem. Now @ 50, I eat right and get plenty of exercise a day.

My Wife calls me a classic, I call myself a restoration project.   tongue

It seems that an upgrade is no longer possible. Long Term Support isn't being provided any more sad

Maybe I can run in some future emulator, once the current hardware wears out?

Re: The Official #! Over-the-Hill-CrunchGang Thread

I have made a couple of improvements that seem to make noticeable differences in the overall way I feel.

I was told about holding an ice cube on the feng fu acupressure point. This will knockout a headache almost instantly, but doing it daily helps me feel better in general. The recommendation is to do it twice daily, but I haven't tried that, yet.

I was also told about magnesium supplements. I hope this will eventually improve my peripheral neuropathy.

So, in short, I am feeling vaguely humanoid, again. wink

If this is a diabetes-related issue, keeping tight control over serum glucose levels will minimise the problems wink

I have nerve-damage to my right arm and on my right foot (from Agent-Orange) ... do you think, Magnesuim will help?

I don't know. I am trying magnesium because of reports such as this: http://www.naturemade.com/resource-cent … aQodw2sAiA Note that that is on a supplement maker's web site. However, I have seen similar ideas in various places, so I have decided to try it for myself.

After taking it for a little more than a week, I can only say that I feel better, in general. Also, I have NOT noticed any improvement in my neuropathy.
