It has a nice ring to it...
It is actually my avatar, but you really can not appreciate it until you have seen it up close.
Edit: I'll be creating a few wallpapers later adding him to them maybe.
It was not intentional but, the reflection looks like it says... 'Hi"
Edit: Yes I changed the topic title from carbonfibercrunchbangtux to what it is now...
I figured I would just dedicate one thread to me, instead of every time I have a new wallpaper, screenshot, panel, icons, and whatever, I would introduce it here.
not that this is going to be a ego thread, just a little more organized of the graphics and such I create.

If you need a .xcf that I use to create different Tux's, I will be happy to share.
You can get it at http://artwork.revlinuxos.com/cope57/tux.xcf.gz
It is set up for a few distributions now, a few different colors, and since I have started to use #! I have also added a layer for that distribution also, as you can see from my avatar.
I have my tux slightly modified for #! to be made of carbon-fiber, even though it is a bit hard to see.
Feel free to modify it in any way you see fit.
You could just say, he has come a long way.
I somewhat followed a photoshop tutorial of how to make a G1 Tux from CrystalXP.net
Also note: My version is 1280x1280 which is HUGE!

Pretty simple, grunge look with transparencies.
Add your own color / gradient to the background to suit your taste.

Inspired by some old movies 2001: A Space Odyssey and 2010: The Year We Make Contact.
HAL 9000, and also my need to make more semi-transparent wallpapers.
I ended up with a orb like looking lens with some abstract background.
your background color changes color of wallpaper and orb.

Three more wallpapers with transparencies...
These will look best when downloaded, and have applied your own background colors to them.

A recent request for a wallpaper which I would like to share.
I was wondering if it would be relatively easy for you to make a "glowy" wallpaper.
By that I mean think "KIND OF" like Vista:
There are many tutorials about how to make Vista like wallpapers, and I could not decide which one I liked best. I never really attempted to make one that looks to much like Vista before, so I Googled a bit to find this gimp tutorial.
Creating a Vista-like wallpaper
Here is my result:

Here is another semi-transparent wallpaper with a modified 18th hole font.
Use your own color or gradient for the background.

I noticed that there was a request for a wallpaper at this link . But it looks like the request has been filled.
If one would like to use a transparent wallpaper which you could add your own colors or transparencies I made one also. Feel free to share, modify and so on...
Most my transparent wallpapers will work with all colors ranging from white to black.
Enjoy

Digging through tutorials I decided to make a Bokeh effect wallpaper.
Since I have been running dual monitors, I decided to make it wide enough for my dual screens.
The original tutorial has no sound on my PC, and can be found here. [link]
I made some changes to my version since the original seemed to be lacking something.

Sixteen new wallpapers since the last time I posted here.

The rest are at deviantART.
I'm generally not into the darker look, but there is some nice work in this collection.
