Didn't work. I'll admit the icon isn't a huge problem for me.

^ are you running another battery app as well like xfce-power-manager; check your openbox (?) autostart file.

Yes. I had xfce-power-manager in my autostart and after removing that also the battery icon disappeared. Thank you.

Re: Tint2 Help

Question: can someone explain the difference between tint2-svn and "standard" tint2? This seems to imply that SVN is essentially a beta feature. I've seen tint2 w/launchers used in a few versions of puppy linux, Semplice linux, & mentioned on Arch forums - now I'm curious. smile

seems like an autostart issue. Check the autostart file to see whether you're starting the application. (Not a #! user but I suppose its xfce4-mixer)

Re: Tint2 Help

Hello! I just started using #!, and I'd like to fix missing icons for tint2. Specifically, it's for houdini.

Tint just gives the window a generic icon, rather than the one it has. I've tried creating a houdini.desktop file in /usr/share/applications, pointing exec directly to houdini-bin, but still, the icon doesn't get picked up.

I've seen some suggestions to use xseticon, but I can't figure out how to use that, since $WINDOW_ID changes with each instance of an application.

Is there something I'm missing in either (both?) of these methods?

Thanks!

Thanks so much!

*Edit* Here are the contents of my houdini.desktop file:

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Houdini
Comment=Animation Software
Categories=Graphics;
Exec=/opt/hfs13.0.376/bin/houdini-bin
Terminal=false
Icon=/opt/hfs13.0.376/houdini_logo.png
StartupNotify=true

Re: Tint2 Help

Hello fellow #!ers

Long time user, first time poster.

I have just stopped using the xfce battery icon and started using tint2's battery reading. However, it gives me a percentage and a timer. Now, ideally I'd like to get ride of the timer completely and just have a percentage. Failing that I'd be happy having the percent and timer laid out horizontally rather than on top of each other!

My searchings and hackings have achieved nothing so far so I'm out sourcing to you lot  wink

Thanks in advance!

Re: Tint2 Help

@m4nuuu --- tricky one that, troubled me for a bit; this is my hack:

bat1_font = dejavu sans extralight 15
bat2_font = sans 0

It works, but there is a tiny space where the "0 point" text fits & it throws the alignment out by a few pixels...  mad
EDIT: Welcome to the forums smile
