Some dude with glasses eyes and fighting a fig-leaf doesn't constitute 'going for a walk'  lol

One of the best uses for a slide rule was to be able to cheat in university exams. You could write lots of stuff in pencil under the slider  ops

My project I just started is to try to learn c++, again. Although I have programmed in it, professionally, at least twice before, I can never hang onto it. The first few lessons have gone well.

And free as well at his MindView site.  I'd never make it past the first few chapters.

However: The Thinking in C CD ROM, buy it and get the book ... or better said, buy the "paper" book and get the CD.  big_smile

Meanwhile...I suspect that certain OHCG members are napping. Is that snorts and snoring I hear? yikes

Are you early birds or night owls? Do you wake up with the birds or fall asleep with them?  tongue

As you can see, I have nothing to add except that it's been a near-perfect summer in southern New England. My daily uniform consists of t-shirt, shorts, and sandals. Hail summer!  lol

Re: The Official #! Over-the-Hill-CrunchGang Thread

Winter here and a strange one it is - 17, 18 and 20°C for the past few days.  Doubt it will last though, suppose to get cooler by the start of the week.

Winter ... yea right ... 22:26, the birds are sleeping, and it's 15° out there.

lately it's up at 09:00-ish and out to the neighbourhood 'downtown' then home again and on/off the computer all day.  Will probably be up until 1 or 2 but will spend the last few hours reading ... until I can't hold my eye open  big_smile

Too young to get into K&W?

Maybe too young to be a member here (Why the rush?) but not too young to be a guest  wink

Have not see matlock in a long time ... wonder how long I'd last in K&W with bursting.   cool
