Hello
I have been searching for the "perfect" distro for my Asus eee 4g 701. I think I have found it. I really like crunch bang.
The only issue I have is I need to install the custom kernel from array.org. Although I do this with all the ubuntu forks I have tried.
How can I disable the start up sound at the login window?
Thanks.
W.

Hi there Warden,
I am running CrunchBang on my Asus eee 900ha using the array.org kernel. I posted the instructions here:
http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic … he-eee-pc/
I would be very curious for you to post your eee 701 experiences over on my thread.
That way, eee users can find all the information in one place.
To disable the startup sound, go to the System menu, choose Login setup (GDM), and go to the Accessibility tab. Uncheck the box next to "Login screen ready."
