Well, here i am. Livarp on a real install. Be warned, this beautiful little thing does NOT hold your hand on every step needed for a full install. You should be familliar with partitioning a harddisc and to setup your bootloader...

that's ranger.

wow, i had this installed but never knew it can do _that_.
incidentally, i just uninstalled both thunar and pcmanfm because automounting or even showing drives/partitions stopped working.
not sure if ranger has that feature, but i will certainly delay reinstalling any of the above. thanks again.

ranger doesn't, i have an alias to mount my external manually.

pm me if you have trouble getting the previews working, they can be erratic.

the automounting works with devmon, flawlessly so far. (devmon is part of udevil)
i just put a shortcut to /media in my home folder. it's a bit different than having drives pop up in your sidebar, but good enough for me.
so far i haven't had trouble with picture previews, only with shell scripts. i'll pm u.

I have kind of gotten used to the whole Gnome 3.10 thing, but nothing works with it properly, no themes, nothing. The worst thing is I'm stuck with the hideous Gnome icons until the other guys update theirs, because the client side decorations require some additional lines of code.

GTK themes now go in ~/.local/share/themes, in case you didn't know. What is your font in the nautilus sidebar?

Re: October 2013 Screenshot Thread

Just a reminder...
Please use thumbnails (please try to avoid the large thumbnail imgur.com code) linking to the larger image to help those of us with slow connections. An example of the code needed is below. Most image hosting sites will automatically generate this for you as well. Users have been using postimage.org lately which does a nice job.

Please use the Report button to let moderators know of images that are too large. Thank you!
