Distrowatch rankings in 2002 - top 10

Ok, it's just a hit counter but it's still interesting (vaguely) to see how things were different in 2002:

  1. Mandrake

  2. Red Hat

  3. Gentoo

  4. Debian

  5. Sorcerer

  6. SuSE

  7. Slackware

  8. Lycoris

  9. Lindows

  10. Xandros

1 Mint 3891<
2 Mageia 2153=
3 Ubuntu 1930<
4 Fedora 1583<
5 Debian 1478>
6 openSUSE 1396=
7 Arch 1189=
8 PCLinuxOS 1185>
9 Puppy 914>
10 Manjaro 879>

For reference, at the time of posting, looking at biennial rankings.
Debian and RedHat/Fedora appear to be the only distributions still in the top ten.

Congrats to Debian for slipping only one spot, and populating spots 1 and 3 with it's babies.

LOL, good one! I remember seeing ads for Lindows, kind of wondered what became of it.
