[SOLVED] Waldorf & CUPS

Hello to all.
There are some things that I can't understand the behavior of CUPS.

1) When I run a print on PDF and choose the pdf printer, and not the option "save to file", the press seems to be successful but I can not figure out where the pdf file is generated.

2) If I log on cups via the web interface (127.0.0.1:631) and I try to delete a print CUP requires me to enter a username and password which are not the same of the user I'm using. Which user should I use, or how can I allow my user to operate?

Thank you very much and sorry for my bad English

Re: [SOLVED] Waldorf & CUPS

If I remember correctly, the output folder is set by /etc/cups/cups-pdf.conf
The default is Out ${HOME}/PDF
As for the username and password, it's my username and my password (but then again, my password is the same for sudo and I am in the sudo group. It might have something to do with it...)

Re: [SOLVED] Waldorf & CUPS

I solved it, I am now able to use the web interface of cups to perform administrative tasks such as deleting a print.
The problem was caused by the fact that my user wasn't in the group "lpadmin"
After I added with:

sudo usermod -G lpadmin francesco

I can perform all the actions by browsing: 127.0.0.1:631

WARNING :
you must add (comma separated) the gourps you are already registered.
You can know what are using the command groups :

francesco@crunchnote:~$ groups
francesco cdrom floppy sudo audio dip video plugdev fuse scanner bluetooth lpadmin cbnetwork
francesco@crunchnote:~$
