hi all
i just installed crunchbang and sometimes my mouse curser gets a very strange weird shape. how can i overcome this problem and have a stable mouse cursor?

I'm guessing he means an X which might suggest a xcursor dmz needs reinstalling or something...

It is not arrow. It's has a corrupted and kind of a transparent shape. In the Internet there are some solutions that didn't work for me. As soon as get access to the pc I'll try to take a picture and upload it.

Sounds like a graphics problem to me, perhaps due to damaged connection- I'm guessing you have a laptop and its the connection in the hinges that is damaged.

Sounds like what I have. What's your graphics chip and driver?
