Hi all!
I recently switched to #! - and I am more than impressed.
Before the change I used my somewhat customized debian [wheezy] + xfce + pcmanfm etc. - and I thought it doesn't get any faster. But somehow one fine morning this week something got screwed up with the xserver and I couldn't get x to work anymore. I still don't really know what caused the problem but I suspect it had something to do with fglrx and my onboard ati-chip. Anyhow, after trying for hours to reconfigure x and trying everything else I could imagine and come up with on the web - I decided to ditch the setup and try out crunchbang.
Since the installation a few days back I have been fiddling like crazy and really enjoy all the options openbox brings with it. Also the speed of #! is simply incredible.
I browsed these forums quite a few times before when looking for solutions to debian-related problems and always liked the pleasant and relaxed way people interact here.
So: Hello! and thanks for all the goodies!

Welcome.
I once went for a support job that required using OS X. I quit the training after a week.
