is it possible to install Waldorf from within the live environment?
For me, trying to install it without going into the live environment, it hangs at the "Detect Disks" screen. So, I was hoping to install from within the live environment. But, now that I'm in it, I don't see any option to install. Am I missing something?
You're not missing anything. CrunchBang doesn't support installation from a live environment. I am not sure what is causing your disk detection issue, but if you're able to post your disk specifics here, someone might be able to help. While you're in the live environment, gparted might help with the disk information. Perhaps a screenshot. (how many partitions, what types, file systems, etc)

Will take a look at gparted, thanks.
Im not sure either, but I'm pretty sure I remember the same issue with Statler, and think it's related to multiple HDDs. If I remember right, disconnecting the other disk allowed installation to go ahead (but then I had to add in the disk manually to fstab once reconnected).
I have 2 HDDs - a 500GB with a single ext4 partition, and a 1TB with a single fat32 partition. Was planning to allow the installer to wipe and partition the 500GB disk for a standard install (but didn't get that far).
