I don't think it's possible to change xscreensaver's flame, unfortunately, without some source hacking...
http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/post/69664/#p69664 is the relevant post, but all of that thread is on the subject.
(I always use slock instead of xscreensaver. If you want to automatically start slock after a period of inactivity, instructions in the same thread are : http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/post/69756/#p69756 )
I believe there's people who hates Faenza icons and there's people who doesn't.
At first I was skeptical, but once I gave them a try I used them by default on all distros I have installed. In my opinion, I think they are great. Especially those gray icons.
By the way, how did you do to put white monochrome icons in tint2 panel and black icons in thunar's tool bar? Because I'm using Faenza Icon Set in Statler and I can only set black or white monochrome icons in both panels.
Ignore me I'm an idiot.

Good choice! I like them.
Tripple H will love this. ACYL is much better suited to # in my humble opinion, but it's your show.
Sorry for asking, but how can you install acyl icons on #!?
