lenovo x230 Problem [SOLVED]

Hello everyone! I'm new to #! and so far i'm loving it. I wanted to learn more about Linux that's why i choose this distro.
Although, i'm encountering some problems on my new Lenovo thinkpad x230.

Problems:
- The power button wont shut the computer down, so is the volume switch. Instead, i have to use the exit.
-Network manager wont detect my wireless card. (Main help with)
-Shortcut on my keyboard wont work.

I've looked around the various forums but not luck.

I hope you guys can help me with this before college starts so i can show off my #! distro to my friends!  smile

Re: lenovo x230 Problem [SOLVED]

launch acpi_listener in terminal and check if media and power buttons actually are producing any acpi signals, and also show as your lspci command output.

Re: lenovo x230 Problem [SOLVED]

Launch acpi_listen and press power button and any other media buttons, to check if they produce any signal at all.

I found this link: http://www.linlap.com/lenovo_thinkpad_x230
All hardware should work out of the box with 3.4 kernel. So I suggest you to get newer kernel.

for some reason i update to liquorix 3.7 kernel and when i boot to the grub menu it says kernel panic... i am clueless of whats happening

I think i'm just going to switch to Archbang... works better with my wireless.
