Hello guys,
A few days ago, I was looking for a method to get rid of the annoying system beep. This one worked for me in openbox:
Right click on the speaker icon >> click on Open Mixer >> Select controls > check beep
And finally click on the speaker icon below .
This also disables the annoying shutdown beep.
I hope you guys find this useful.
Enjoy!

Man, I wish I had found this post countless hours ago! I eventually used this command to get rid of the beeping:
amixer set "PC Beep" muteI think it changes the exact same settings as this graphical method.

What I did to disable the beep is blacklist the "pcspkr" module.
If it's running and you just want to turn it off for a bit, you can modprobe -r pcspkr

Welcome aboard C4rL05, & Devout; I had one of my laptops that beeped at me, so I know how annoying that can be.
