Re: SOLVED tint2 upgrade issue

First

sudo rm /usr/share/applications/tint2conf.desktop

Then run your upgrade again.

Re: SOLVED tint2 upgrade issue

Here is what I would do.

sudo apt-get purge tint

sudo apt-get install tint2

Your settings should still be the same, but you MAY want to backup any files you have in

/home/your username/.config/tint2

directory first, just in case.

Re: SOLVED tint2 upgrade issue

Did you install tint2 using another process before?  Via svn perhaps?

Re: SOLVED tint2 upgrade issue

Hi

Unfortunately i followed the given instructions in order to get rid of the update problem shown by mosesgunn.
Now same problem here - no tint2 anymore - can't re-install - no svn stuff whatsoever ...

Pls. help - w/o it it's pretty difficult to connect to a wireless network eg. - until this is solved may somebody be so kind as to advise how to get at least the wireless dialogue back ...

Re: SOLVED tint2 upgrade issue

Hey VastOne,

I did not install it through any other method. It was installed with the most recent waldorf iso.  I have tried the

sudo apt-get install -f

to no real effect.

sad

Re: SOLVED tint2 upgrade issue

In this thread with a similar issue, it was solved.  Try the same solutions that xaos52 provided.

Hoping for the best!

Re: SOLVED tint2 upgrade issue

I was having some GPG issues. So I fixed those with the following method and tint2 installed.  It downgraded several packages, openbox, etc.
But tint2 works now!

Thanks! VastOne

I think we did the same things as the other thread but not in the same sequence...

Yeah!  I'll know what to do next time, if the issue even comes up again.

How do you mark a thread as SOLVED?
