I would not give it up...I read once they are the best keyboards ever made.
As stated by Seth, I am sure you could remap the shortcut combos to accommodate your IBM keyboard...
Actually I have thought about purchasing one (if I can find a new one)
http://www.clickykeyboards.com
I used them at home, school, work through the 80s and 90s. They're very durable but not the best for typing speed because it takes a little while to push a key down. In other words, they're not very sensitive. Back in those days, I believe the extra click was there to prevent typos. When I was an intern, I heard from an older IBMer they had to clean their desk a certain way (and of course wear a tie) and the whole concept of a bug in your code was unacceptable. Maybe that was just his experience but I think the keyboards were a reflection of that "make no mistake" professionalism.
Old IBM keyboards, the keys are too spread out for my taste. I like smaller keyboards the best for typing speed. This little ThinkPad x120e so far is great, love the keyboard on it :-)

^ Nice story about IBM and keyboards. +1 on the x120e too- I have a x121e and love the keyboard, so too everyone else who has a go.

@pjbrunet: I always thought the click was meant to simulate the action of a mechanical typewriter, similar to the way the action of some higher-end synthesizer keyboards is meant to simulate the action of a piano. I, for one, love that kind of tactile feedback, and miss it in most modern keyboards. However, I also like the more compact netbook keyboards for their key spacing.
