[solved]Missing icons?

When I choose icons for my desktop-files, I have the issue that a lot of them will not load in Tint2, especially the action-icons. What could cause this? Furthermore, when I look in /usr/share/icons there are a couple of Faenza-Crunchbang folders, but there seems to be very little inside the folders. Can I get these icons anywhere else?

As you see here, it`s a working project, but I need icons for my launchers that fit my theme better. As it is now, they are a little distracting. I want the launchbar to stop screaming at me. It`s a mix of icons from everywhere. It works, but could look better:)

Anywhere I could download extensive icon-pakages? That includes a wide range of icon-categories, or do I have to continue to download a lot of small packages with synaptic, just to find out that there isn anything usable in there:)

By the way, I`m running Waldorf. Perhaps that`s why there isn`t a lot to choose from?

Re: [solved]Missing icons?

This site (and others) are full of great icon themes..   I know what you are going through, it took me quite some time to find the them and icons I wanted and settled with..

Gnome Look Org

This is the one I ultimately settled on but still added several that I wanted that were not there...

Sure, thanks:) I have added them to my favourites. I`m not that impatient normally, but I downloaded 5-6 useless icon packs through synaptic, so I thought I could use some direction:)

Thanks a lot. I liked LL-8 myself. Maybe one or two needs some tweaking, but all in all the launcher-bar looks a lot better now...

Then I think conky will be the next step. I would prefer one line at the top of the screen, but I have the taskbar at the top. Perhaps a very slim conky-line above or directly below the taskbar? Well, I just have to play with it.

By the way. My launcher-bar at the bottom takes up 45% of the width, and it uses autohide. Is there a way to avoid that the full width of the desktop is showing when the launcher-bar is open? So that only the bar pops up, and not the areas on both sides. Then it would look a lot more like a "Dock".

Re: [solved]Missing icons?

^ That does look good... Well done ew!

If I understand your question about the panel, you can have them sized by pixels and not percentages if you wanted to.

I have mine like this to get it exactly the way I want it

panel_position = bottom right horizontal
panel_size = 73% 55

But it could also be

panel_position = bottom right horizontal
panel_size = 866 55

Either way puts it about centered on the bottom and nothing to the left of it...

Edit - You could have it a certain size and have it bottom centered... that way it will only be on the bottom and middle and not both sides.

Yes, I can have it a certain size and centered at the bottom. But lets say that I have opened a full size webpage, and then move my cursor to the bottom to reveal the bar... Then the bar pops up, but it also cuts the webpage on both sides of the bar.

Re: [solved]Missing icons?

I keep all my open apps sized to be slightly above the panel so that I do not have to deal with that.

There is not a fix for that...

As I suspected. It doesn`t bother me if the wallpaper below is calm and quiet, but if I choose a very busy wallpaper then it bothers me a little bit. I think I can work around it like you do, or by choosing wallpapers that works well with it:)
