Update notifier

Considering adding "update-notifier" to Waldorf (WM - XFCE).

Was wondering if it's safe to assume that once installed, it automatically runs at bootup, or would I need to manually add as a startup application?

Thanks

Re: Update notifier

If it is a daemon then it can be made to start automatically. If it is a desktop application then it will need to be added to autostart (!# wiki link).

Re: Update notifier

It starts automatically on my systems without doing anything but installing it.
