Hello,
I've been using #! for a while now - don't know why I haven't registered until now. I switched over from Fedora and Ubuntu last year as they got too bloated for me and my humble laptop. It's nice to have a responsive desktop again. Most of what I run at work is Solaris, though it's slowly being replace by Linux. At home I have a mixture of mostly IRIX servers and workstations, some Solaris and Linux workstations. I also collect older Macs, usually for nostalgia or running MkLinux. Anyway, I'm running Statler on my laptop now and I'd like to know how to upgrade to Waldorf when it's stable. I'm used to the relatively easy Ubuntu upgrades. Thanks again,
TP

Welcome to the site TP!
It sounds like you are much more familiar with the nix ecosystem than I, but just wanted to mention two things:
1) IMany(including myself) have found Wally to be rock solid stable. You may want to cut out the middle distro and hop right in
2) If you don't want to hop right in, then I believe a simple update of the sources list and then
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Will get you upgraded.

Thanks for the help, all.
Wally sounds good enough for me! I'll just tar up my home directory and ftp it to the NAS before I do a fresh install.
