Guys... i've just installed the stable version of #! on my friends PC today, only to find out that ATI stopped supporting drivers for his graphics card after kernel 2.6.28...
I'm now considering the Waldorf "edition" on his machine, but would like to know before hand if that will solve the issue???
The big problem is 3D acceleration - he plays a lot of Minecraft

You will only be able to use the open source driver with this card. Forget about the proprietary driver, forever and ever.

Only leads to the Tips, tricks and scripts part of the forums... Have looked there already
And tried el_koraco guide without luck -with this card. Other times it has worked like a charm.

Then what about 3D acceleration???

Sorry, I meant to refer you to the 'Catalyst' link. See el_koraco's signature above.

I still don't get what I'm supposed to find that helps xaos?
The problem is, that the drivers dosn't support the newer kernels and I don't know the name of the open source ones for the R350 ATI.
But I could be missing something, when reading through the posts, on the catalyst page.

Your only choice is to install the package firmware-linux-nonfree to get rudimentary 3D stuff. No prop driver here. Windows XP will be your best option.
