Re: Your CrunchBang Linux system

Laptop (Dell C610) with a Pentium 3 at 1 GHz, 128 MB of RAM, 20 GB HDD, ATI Mobility M6 LY graphics card (8 MB).

It's not my main machine, obviously, but it works fine. It's odd to see it's not the weakest one around here. I'm running Debian with openbox on it, so it's not exactly CrunchBang, but it's as close as it gets. tongue

Intel Atom 2700, 4G memory, 1TB hard drive. It's mainly a server, but I also distro-hop live USBs on it from time to time.

Re: Your CrunchBang Linux system

Nothing special. Just another eeepc. Whole thing installed flawlessly. Except for needing to be root to set up fixed IP addresses on wireless using the Network Manager applet, configuration was easy as well. I'm only using the little devil as a server of sorts using didiwiki. I created a template in (didi)wiki to hold login and other access info for various things. #! worked great.

Re: Your CrunchBang Linux system

Name:  Dell 1525 laptop - originally bought with Ubuntu installed years ago.
Main Board:  Good Question?  Dell board?  I hope?
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU     T5750  @ 2.00GHz
Screen:  15 "
RAM: 4 gb
HDD: Some built in usb HD of 300 gb variety.
Optical Drive: dual side DVD burner thing - only plus to the unit I think.
Graphics: Some built in 3D Intel Video card which barely qualifies as a 3D card.
Sound: Intel built in audio which is pretty good.
Network: Oh boy,  Broadcomm  eth0 BCM5784M Gigabit Ethernet PCIe (rev 10)
               Wireless,, Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY (rev 01)

Plus it has 4 usb2 ports, and 2 firewire, and external VGA and keyboard and mouse and sound in/out ports.

I remember I ran 2 version of Ubuntu on it and then put Squeeze on it before I ran into Crunchbang.
My Fedora 18 beta install is via a larger 500 gb usb hard drive I just plug in, which is faster....

Re: Your CrunchBang Linux system

My Dell Latitude D600 is chugging along, for now. The hinges broke, and it is literally propped up against a box right now. I tried to replace them, but the screws holding in the hinges are overtightened, so it's staying broken. I'm upgrading to an IB Core i5 ultrabook early next year.
