Crunchbang 11 lowers processor pulling

I have found that on my old Tiny Laptop PIII 1Ghz 512mb machine that this new Crunchbang not only saves me 10 degrees on heat from the processor but it also lowers the processor useage by about 10% when using Gnome Player rather than VLC Player.

I installed VLC Player because I knew from before what I was roughly getting with Statler.  With VLC added to Crunchbang 11 once again the processor usage was higher than with Gnome Player.  This might not be so for your processors but sure is for mine.  My processor I believe is a bit broken so I'm grateful to Gnome Player for squeezing that little bit more out of it.  I always loved VLC Player but what with this issue and the fact a video actually didn't run with VLC but did with Gnome and another one well I have to forget it these days.  VLC is better than gnome for music though as the fast forwarding on Gnome is junk in comparison.  VLC does give you a precision movement.  Mind you at least Gnome Player isn't like those YouView boxes with their dire no picture whilst fast forwarding, geez that must be wicked trying to skip adverts.
