I just did a fresh install and every time I go to any website I get nagged by the certificate police: "This Connection is Untrusted"
Website content doesn't seem to be lining up correctly either. Please help.
Thanks in advance!

Any chance your PC date is set way off in the future or something?

Wow! Good diagnosis! Why yes it is... it says it's the 31st of July... hahaha. I just replaced the CMOS battery hoping it would help, but to no avail. So what do I do?
Thanks in advance!

You can set the time/date manually with "date", or use an ntp client.
apt-get install ntpif it's not already installed.

^ ...may need to temporarily suspend ntpd to get ntp to sync your clock...
while ( ! ( succeed = try() ) );

ntp did the trick. Thank you!

In case it goes skewiff again, you may find this command useful. It sets the date:
sudo date -s "$(date)"And this to stop ntpd:
sudo /etc/init.d/ntp stopLast edited by dura (2012-10-11 12:57:44)
